MINNESOTA HOCKEY - EVERY MOMENT COUNTS.

In Minnesota, hockey isn't just a sport — it's a tradition that runs through generations of families, communities, and programs. Andrew Miller Photography has had the privilege of capturing some of the most meaningful moments that tradition produces, including the 2026 Section 3AA Boys Hockey Championship, where the Rosemount Raiders defeated St. Thomas Academy to earn their first state tournament appearance in 30 years. That's the kind of moment hockey photography is built for — the overtime tension, the final buzzer, the pile-on at center ice, the look on a coach's face after three decades of waiting. Andrew covers the full arc of a game, from the pre-skate warm-ups through the final seconds, so that when moments like that happen, they're documented completely and professionally.

TRUSTED BY MINNESOTA'S BEST HOCKEY PROGRAMS

Andrew Miller Photography has served hockey programs at the high school and junior levels in Minnesota. At the high school level, Andrew photographed the Rosemount Irish at the 2026 MSHSL Section 3AA Boys Hockey Championship — one of the most memorable nights in that program's recent history. At the amateur level, Andrew has covered the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) during their visit to Marshall, MN — bringing professional coverage to a nationally competing junior program.Hockey photography is one of the most technically demanding disciplines in sports — fast ice, low arena lighting, and action that never stops between whistles. Andrew has invested in understanding those challenges and continues to develop his craft with every game he covers.

FAST ICE. CLEAN IMAGES. QUICK TURNAROUND.

Hockey is one of the most technically demanding sports to photograph well. The action moves faster than any other sport on my list, arena lighting is notoriously unforgiving, and there's a sheet of glass between the photographer and the play for most of the game. Getting clean, sharp, well-exposed images in those conditions requires the right equipment, the right positioning, and the experience to know where the play is going before it gets there.Every booking includes same-day sneak peeks delivered the evening of the game — so your program can post about the win, the big save, or the championship celebration while the moment is still live. Full galleries are color-corrected, polished, and delivered with efficient turnaround, ready for social media, your athletic department website, or printed materials.

FAQs
The answers to your commonly asked hockey photography questions
How do I book an upcoming hockey game?
You can book me by filling out the contact form with your game details, including date, location, and team information. I’ll confirm availability and send over booking information. You can book me for a single game, a multi-game package, or a full season.
How long does it take to get photos?
Especially in the hockey world, I know how much timeliness matters. With every booking, I offer same-day sneak peeks! For the full-gallery, turnaround time will depend on how many games need to be edited and my current capacity. I strive to deliver galleries as quick as possible.
How much do you charge for hockey photography?
Pricing depends on the number of games booked, and travel distance. I offer team-based pricing (flat rate for full coverage) and can create player-specific packages if requested. Contact me for your custom quote!
How far in advance should I book hockey photography?
I recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons like playoffs or tournaments. Last-minute bookings are possible if my schedule allows — reach out and I’ll do my best to make it work.
Do you offer private or password-protected galleries?
Yes! You can choose whether your gallery is public or password-protected. This is great for teams who want to keep images private or share them only with players and families.
