CAPTURING
LOCAL
One of the greatest rewards of photography is being able to capture a moment and preserve it for others. Whether it's a thrilling Mustang Volleyball match, a Shades of the Past Roll-In through Downtown Marshall, or a branding session for a passionate student organization like Enactus, Andrew Miller Photography is there when it matters most.
Deciding to continue my education at Southwest Minnesota State University led me to Marshall, and I quickly embraced the tight-knit community. From the day I picked up a camera, I have received so much support on my photography journey. If you're new here, I invite you to follow along! CARTER IVERSON
Highly recommend Andrew for anything photography related! Had an automotive session with him recently and he really made it special. He took my requests and put his professional spin on things. Photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined.

RACHEL FINK
Andrew captured some of our fondest volleyball moments during the year. His photos are of great quality and he offers a variety of shots with unique views. Andrew truly cares about his photography and his passion is expressed through his pictures.

KYLE MCKINZIE
Andrew has taken our online presence to a new level with consistent, compelling photos that drive more shoppers to inquire which is the ultimate goal. It shocked me when I first discovered how big of a difference eye catching photos with the right lighting and right angle made.

THE
GREAT
BEYOND

My photography journey began just days before the COVID-19 pandemic sent us into shutdown. I spent the early days learning how to use my camera in Northern Virginia and Washington D.C., distanced and masked. With my work being shared on travel pages throughout the DMV, it was an assurance to keep pushing.
In just a few short years, I have gained incredible experiences capturing collegiate athletics, working with businesses and organizations, and other young entrepreneurs - all while traveling the country.

#SMSUframes
One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at college has been creating community. Since beginning my photography journey, I have been able to identify others passionate about this art form. Through my position as a Resident Assistant in Marshall, Minnesota, I have put on Photography Walks, Workshops, and provided an opportunity to grow with others that hold similar interests. SMSU has since created a photography club, the Residence Hall Association began an annual Photography Contest - a movement of capturing the area around us was initiated with the realization that we have a huge creative community on our campus. If you are a Mustang looking to get involved in photography, please reach out! We would be so happy to have you!
