2023 NSIC WBB Tournament - SMSU vs. MSU Mankato

The Southwest Minnesota State University women's basketball team falls to Minnesota State Mankato in a season-ending loss at the Sanford Pentagon. The Mustangs reached their first NSIC semi-finals since 2002, finishing with a record of 19-11 overall, and 14-8 in the NSIC.

The Mustangs broke their single-season 3-point record, making 264 shots from behind the arc during the 2022-23 season. Jenna Borchers tied the single-game 3-point record earlier in the tournament with 7 threes in SMSU's win over Crookston. Their fast-paced offense and unstoppable perimeter shooting pushed opponents to adapt all season long.

Congratulations to the Mustang seniors on incredible careers at SMSU: Jenna Borchers, Madison Gehloff, and Sam Wall.
